Bread Sauce

Bread Sauce
Difficulty: Easy
  • 1 small onion
  • ½ pint of milk
  • 2 oz. bread crumbs
  • 2 peppercorns
  • salt
  1. Cut the onion in half
  2. Put the milk, peppercorns, onion and a pinch of salt into a saucepan and simmer for 2 minutes.
  3. Strain the pan contents to remove the solids.
  4. Put the liquid back into the pan and bring to the boil.
  5. Add the breadcrumbs, slowly, and boil for one minute.
  6. Remove from the heat, and serve.
