Lemon Sauce 01
Difficulty: Easy
  • ½ pint of white sauce (see White Sauce - but don't add the salt and pepper)
  • 1 lemon
  • 4 oz. granulated sugar
  1. Make a basic white sauce without seasoning, and with the rind of the lemon added to the milk to add flavour.
  2. Add the sugar, stirring well, and bring to the boil for a few seconds.
  3. Remove from the heat and after allowing the sauce to cool for 2 minutes, add the lemon juice to taste.
  4. Serve.
