- ½ pint of water
- 1 teaspoon of Marmite
- 1 oz. butter
- 1 oz. flour or ½ oz. corn flour
- With little water, make a paste from the flour or corn flour.
- Heat the remaining water, but don't boil it - just get it hot.
- Add the paste to the hot water, and stir well.
- Add the Marmite, seasoning and butter.
- Bring to the boil and cook for 5 minutes.
