Marmite Sauce

Marmite Sauce
Difficulty: Easy
  • ½ pint of water
  • 1 teaspoon of Marmite
  • pepper
  • salt
  • 1 oz. butter
  • 1 oz. flour or ½ oz. corn flour
  1. With little water, make a paste from the flour or corn flour.
  2. Heat the remaining water, but don't boil it - just get it hot.
  3. Add the paste to the hot water, and stir well.
  4. Add the Marmite, seasoning and butter.
  5. Bring to the boil and cook for 5 minutes.
  6. Serve.
