Simple White Sauce 01
Difficulty: Easy
  • 1 oz butter
  • 1 tablespoon of flour or 1 desert spoon of corn flour
  • ½ pint of milk
  • salt
  • pepper
  1. Mix the flour with enough of the milk to form a smooth paste.
  2. Pour the rest of the milk into a saucepan and bring to the boil.
  3. When boiling, remove the pan from the heat and add the flour paste, stirring well.
  4. Bring the mix back to the boil.
  5. Cook gently for 5 minutes.
  6. Season with the salt and pepper.
  7. Stir in the butter
